Howie’s Heart is a Long Island based, family-run
non-profit organization driven by a shared commitment to honor our father’s legacy of compassion, service, and love. Our mission is simple. We inspire children, teens, and families to find joy in helping others through meaningful, carefully created volunteer opportunities that contribute to the greater good of our community and spread kindness.

Research suggests that both volunteering and the practice of random acts of kindness, are associated with improved mental health and overall well-being. Family volunteering is also linked to strengthening of family bonds and increased feelings of togetherness. In this digital age, our vision is for families to take a step away from their screens and a step towards service together.
